What is the definition of bull float?
A bull float is a concrete finishing tool that smooths fresh concrete surfaces. It features a long handle attached to a flat wood, aluminum, or magnesium piece called a float. The tool is used after the cement has been pressed down, or tamped, and it is considered a basic and essential concrete finishing tool.
Secondly, why do you use a magnesium float on concrete? Magnesium smooths the surface of fresh concrete and opens the pores for proper evaporation, all without pulling the surface like a wood or resin tool. Most magnesium floats are extruded or cast. Molten magnesium can be cast into any shape desired.
